Italy's Luxury Coffee, Chosen for You
A curated house of authentic Italian espresso, gourmet hot chocolate, and the finest Italian roasters.
Roasted in Italy. Delivered across Canada & US.
The Italian Standard, Curated
Lusso Scelta brings authentic Italian coffee to North America, luxury Italian espresso, gourmet hot chocolate, and the porcelain cups in which espresso is meant to be served. Every product in our collection is roasted in Italy, sourced from producers whose craft has earned its reputation across generations. We do not curate by category. We curate by standard. If a roaster, a blend, or an object does not meet the level we hold ourselves to, it does not enter the house. This is luxury coffee as Italy understands it, exact, restrained, and never compromised.

The House Standard
Italian espresso is not a flavour profile — it is a method, refined across two centuries. Slow-roasted to preserve the bean's natural oils. Built for extraction under pressure, where the aromatics concentrate and the crema holds. The blends in our collection follow this method without exception. Some are bright and balanced. Some are dense and architectural. None compromise the long, clean finish that defines authentic Italian coffee. If a roaster does not work this way, the house does not carry them.
Italian Espresso Capsules
Italian espresso, engineered for the Nespresso® machines on your counter. Roasted in Italy, sealed for freshness, fully compatible with the original Nespresso system. Three blends — bright, balanced, and intense — each calibrated for proper extraction in the capsule format. The convenience of a pod, without the compromise.
Italian Hot Chocolate, As It Should Be
Italian hot chocolate is not a sweetened powder dissolved in milk. It is dense, glossy, and slow — closer to pudding than to a hot beverage. Crafted in Italy from real cocoa butter and traditional methods, our collection ranges from classic dark to white, with seasonal flavours rotating through the year. Each is built to be sipped slowly, stirred deliberately, and finished completely.
Espresso Cups, Designed for the Drink
The right cup is part of the espresso. Italian porcelain is shaped specifically for the drink — narrow walls retain heat, the curved interior concentrates the crema, and the proportions match a properly extracted shot. Weighty in the hand, warm to hold, finished in matte black or classic white. The cup is the last piece of the ritual.

Questions About Italian Coffee
What is Lusso Scelta?
Lusso Scelta is a curated luxury house bringing authentic Italian coffee,
espresso, and gourmet hot chocolate to North America. Every product in our
collection is sourced from Italian roasters and producers whose craft has
earned its reputation across generations. We do not curate by category —
we curate by standard.
What makes authentic Italian coffee different?
Italian coffee is defined by its method, not its origin. Beans are slow-roasted
in Italy to preserve natural oils, producing the rich crema, full body, and long
clean finish that defines proper espresso. The blends carry a cultural tradition
refined across two centuries — built specifically for extraction under pressure,
which is why Italian espresso tastes different from drip coffee or American-style
brews.
Where do you ship, and how long does delivery take?
We ship across Canada and US with delivery in 2–5 business days. Free shipping on all
orders over $75 CAD. All orders are dispatched from our Vancouver warehouse,
with priority handling on espresso beans to preserve freshness.
Can hotels, restaurants, and cafés order wholesale?
Yes. Lusso Scelta partners with a limited number of hospitality businesses
across Canada — boutique hotels, upscale restaurants, and independent cafés.
We offer regional exclusivity, full brand support, and a 60-day pilot
programme to evaluate the fit. Visit our partnership page to begin the conversation.
How is Italian espresso traditionally roasted?
Italian espresso is traditionally slow-roasted at lower temperatures over a
longer duration — preserving the bean's natural oils and developing the
sweetness, body, and aromatic complexity that distinguish proper Italian
coffee. Our blends combine premium Arabica from Brazil and Central America
with carefully selected Robusta where the blend calls for it, roasted
in Italy and shipped directly to Canada.
What is gourmet coffee, and how does it differ from specialty coffee?
Gourmet coffee refers to high-quality coffee made from carefully selected beans,
roasted with intention to bring out specific flavour profiles. While "specialty
coffee" emphasizes single-origin transparency and grading, "gourmet coffee"
emphasizes craft and indulgence — the experience of drinking it. Italian
coffee tradition leans toward gourmet: premium blends, slow-roasted, built
for the ritual of espresso rather than the analysis of origin.
Are your products compatible with home espresso machines and Nespresso systems?
Yes. Our espresso beans are calibrated for any home espresso machine — pump,
lever, or super-automatic — and our ground espresso fits standard moka pots
and machine portafilters. For Nespresso users, our capsules are fully
compatible with the original Nespresso® system. Hot chocolate works with
any milk frother or stovetop preparation.
